WEEK 3 - FALL TRAINING - 5 / 10 MILES

Fall Marathon & Half Marathon Training! As always, training is FREE, and we welcome new and veteran runners and walkers. Invite your friends and help grow the community.

Start Location: 600 S Hudson, west side of Scissortail Park

Announcements 6:20 AM

We will also be giving away 2 free tickets to the August 20th John Mulaney show at the Zoo Amphitheatre. Tickets provided by the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre.  

Course

We’ll head south over the Skydance Bridge, loop around the soccer fields, lower scissortail and back to the S/F (2.2M) for water. The route then heads north over to Robinson. Those running 5 miles will turn left on NW 10th to Harvey and work their way back for 5 miles.  Those running 10 miles will say goodbye to the 5 milers at NW 10th and continue North on Robinson to NW 36th. They will then turn around and head south on Robinson to NW 15th (water stop), head west on 15th to Shartel, Shartel south to 14th, Back east on 14th to Harvey, South on Harvey working their way back to Scissortail.

Water Stops

S/F and one water stop on the course at NW 15th & Robinson (Mile 4 & 7 on the 10 mile route).  There are bathrooms and porta potties around Scissortail Park, Starbucks, McDonalds along NW 23rd, tennis courts at NW 25th, Harvey Bakery at NW 13th & Harvey.


Running Etiquette

We share the roads and trails with the public, so let’s represent the club well:

  • Be courteous and avoid “hogging” the path
  • Obey all traffic signs
  • Use crosswalks and sidewalks when available
  • Stay alert and aware of others around you
