Landrunners Group Marathon Training

Marathon Runners,

Get Ready to Run!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2009 OKC Marathon Training begins January 3rd.

This is the 16 week training group/schedule originated by Jack and Sherri Rector with the first OKC Memorial Marathon in 2001. There will be water/Poweraid stops at approximately two (2) mile intervals on each of the training runs. We will also regularly have representatives from running stores on hand to assist with any shoe and clothing needs.

“Be Like Jack”

At Jack’s memorial service Dr. Tom Coniglione reminded us of Jack’s commitment to serving others. Jack was particularly committed to training us to successfully complete marathons. Be sure to see the video tributes to our mentor, Jack Rector.

New for this year, Mark Bravo, has provided 9 different "Training Plans" for various distances and ability levels.

Below is the NEW 17 week location schedule and here are the 17 week training schedules.  During our long runs, water stops will be provided every 2 miles.

The training is FREE and open to the public.  You do not have to be a Landrunner to attend...

We look forward to seeing you.
